The course is an all dirt, figure eight loop with a combination of 80% singletrack trail with some fire roads.

Runners will be exposed to heat and humidity along with possible encounter with snakes, ground hornets, and bees that are native to the area.

The trail is very technical—there is one section where bouldering/climbing is required (Helispot). There are very beautiful, and dramatic rock formations around 10 or so miles in, so take your time through this section to enjoy the scenery. It is the prettiest, but the most technical section. Overall, the course is hilly and climbs between 50 feet - 150 feet (2,500 feet - 7,500 feet in 50 miles). The terrain is technical with lots of rocks, roots/ruts and creek crossings to keep you present.
