Description

The Red Trail leaves the Mashomack Preserve visitors center and heads east through the woods. It passes over several freshwater ponds on boardwalks with informative signs about the interesting ecosystem. It then leads to a salt marsh with some opportunities to look for water birds before meeting the Yellow Trail, which will take you to points further in the heart of the preserve.

The Red Trail itself then loops back to the north and west through the woods before turning completely back to the west and returning to the visitors center.
