Parking at all OC Parks lots costs $3 ($5 at some on the weekends), unless the runner has an annual pass.

The top portion should be quite nice for trail running, but then it drops off fairly quickly—in certain places, surprisingly so.

The trail leaves Bommer Ridge Road to lead runners down to Laguna Canyon Road. At first, the descent is gradual, with switchbacks making it even more so. Eventually, the grade of descent becomes so great that the trail rutted, rocky, and can be quite the challenge. At the bottom of the hill, the trail ends at the beginning of the Stagecoach South Trail which hugs Laguna Canyon Road (and accordingly is quite noisy), but that is a small price to pay for the fun of the Laguna Ridge Trail.
