Overview
This trail has almost everything. You'll enjoy a wooded trail, great views of the lake, wildlife and amazing surroundings all four seasons.
Description
You'll start this run by the boat ramp and spillway and head northeast on the dirt track
South Trail. Winding around a small inlet and continuing uphill. Along the way there are several overlooks of the water and a rustic bridge. Coming around some corners the path narrows. Use caution if icy. You'll start up a long flight of stairs uphill making your way around the bend. After the descent, a log bridge will help you cross over the small dam then the trail will lead you up a small hill in a wooded area.
As you end the
South Trail, take a left onto the cement
Pine Lake Recreation Trail to continue the loop around the lake. You'll cross a bridge then come to the beach area where there are some restrooms (it is unclear if they are always open). One last stretch and the trail will cross the road. Here, stay left along the road to get back to your starting point.
