Runner Notes

Somewhat steep, but very smooth - excellent for running.

Description

After starting up Squaw Creek Trail #1897 for a short ways, take a right on to this trail. Pass through some scrub oak that can hot and sunny, but quickly get into a dense aspen forest, which is particularly spectacular in late September. Take some switchbacks until you enter a cool conifer forest. Break out into some wildflower meadows at the top. Highly recommended to continue on to Bellyache Overlook trail!
