It's difficult finding a running spot in Addis, where pollution is heavy, cars are dangerous, and the elevation can leave those unadapted utterly out of breath. This is a short, flat, paved route within a research campus which houses multiple research institutions. The campus is forested with little traffic.

f you have access to this space, which is unfortunately only open to people visiting the campus for research or professional events, you may enjoy a brief run with fresh air and few cars. Addis is full of runners who can recommend public running spaces and a growing number of indoor gyms.
