The VertiKiller 25k takes place on Sumas Mountain just outside of Abbottsford. The race features steep climbs and thigh-crushing descents, with a whole lot of rolling terrain in between.

There are lots of interconnecting and not so well marked trails for this. Be sure to use the Trail Run Project mobile app to track yourself.

There is a washroom at the parking area for Sumas Mountain Regional Park. This is a place you may want to start if running this on your own.

I have no knowledge of the trails in this area, nor do I have a map. I was just following flags and volunteers guidance. Hopefully this course description can be added to at a later time by someone more knowledgeable of the area and local trails.

This is a point-to-point race, due to permitting requirements. Shuttles are provided before the start to take the runners from the end of the race (where they parked) to the starting area.

The race is very well organized and manned and amazingly priced.

If the middle loop is cut out, this can be reduced to a 16k.
