Description
This is one of the Jackson Klamath Winter Trails (Fourmile Lake Area) that wind their way through the Fremont-Winema National Forest starting from the Summit Sno-Park off Highway 140 in Southern Oregon.
The Pitt View leaves the
McLoughlin Nordic Trail 1.2 miles from the McLoughlin's lower junction with the Lower Canal Nordic Trail. It then turns southwest, crosses the
Petunia Nordic Trail and ends at a little over a mile at the Lower Canal Nordic Trail. This trail is useful for making a short loop starting from Summit Sno-Park. It is also the only trail that gives you a chance to see Mount McLoughlin (which used to be named Mount Pitt).
