Overview
This path is easy to follow as it is well-maintained gravel path with plenty of viewpoints along the loop.
Need to Know
No parking fees.
Description
Starts at the BLNWR visitor center (not the buildings directly adjacent to the bike trail) right off the ample parking area. Usually there is no one there, especially early or late in the day.
Follow the sign for "Wildlife Viewing Tour" and just keep going on the large paved trail. There are sections with side-trails that head towards various viewpoints along the main trail to enable better views and have signs next to them. These will add some distance but are worth it, especially if it's your first time here!
Otherwise, just stay on the trail, and you'll be fine. There are other trail-looking areas off of the main gravel trail but they are blocked off at the time of this writing, so I'm not sure where they lead.
Flora & Fauna
Lots of ducks, maybe some cranes or herons depending on the season. Be wary of snakes especially in the spring/summer.
