Description
Lakeview Trail is a short, scenic trail that starts at the Loop/McCreery Lake/Lakeview Trail junction found at the 0.4 mile mark along
Loop Trail. From here, Lakeview Trail makes a short climb to a grassy ridge top. As the trail approaches the ridge top, Grant Lake comes into view below, in the valley ahead. Enjoying the views of Grant Lake, the trail then follows the ridge down to
Halls Valley Trail very near a parking area.
Despite the Lakeview Trail endpoint shown here, being close to a parking area, this trail is best done in the direction shown here for the best views. From parking areas, one can easily get to the starting point shown here using
Yerba Buena Trail,
McCreery Lake Trail, or
Loop Trail.
Flora & Fauna
Grassy hills that are green in the spring, and golden in the summer and fall. Spring wildflowers.
