On the trip you'll find three cannon batteries from the 1870s, Horten Church from 1855 and remnants of over a hundred years of shipyard industry. More information about Karljohansvern can be found at karljohansvern.no

Start the trip at the Marine Museum, follow the path south along the canal to Fyllinga.

From Fyllinga, the path continues on the east side of Karljohansvern north through Hortensskogen via the bathing areas Batteritangen and the Grønne Badehuset to Vollane bathing area.

Continue further north to Møringa bathing place. Cross over to the west side and follow the shoreline south where it is possible back to the Marine Museum.
