Description
This remote trail loops around riparian wilderness bounded by Flat Rock Creek, Bird Creek and Nelson's Oxbow.
The terminal for the trail is at the north end of the
Oxbow Lake Trail, which is the only access to the North Woods Unit of the Oxley Nature Center. The junction is just north of the open right-of-way. Taking the north leg first, the trail provides a few views of Flat Rock Creek. Looping back around to the south, the trail passes the junction of the
Sierra Club Trail at the east end of Nelson's Oxbow, then runs along the north side of the oxbow to return to the junction.
Flora & Fauna
Deer and songbirds.
