Need to Know
Day-Use access passes ($7/vehicle) are required for recreation within the Carvins Cove Reservoir.
Description
This run starts by tracking through the forest along Tinker Creek. Easy Street, a small picnic area, is accessible about a quarter mile in from the main trail. Please be sure to stay on track during the first half of the run - it travels through private property.
Emerge from the forest to run under the power line right of way for a short while until the ridge is crested. Elevation changes the most both before and after the ridge crest, so take your time if needed!
After cresting the ridge, the trail follows the reservoir border down to the Carvins Cove docks. All along this side of the ridge are views of crystal clear blue water and rolling mountains!
Flora & Fauna
Squirrels, other small forest animals, fern, moss, oak and maple trees. Black bears may be present in the general are, and bear-proof trash cans are utilized at Carvins Cove.
