Need to Know

Jefferson County is continuing to work on this trail, and has removed almost all of the technical sections and replaced them with gravel.

Description

Starting on the west side, follow a large road down a broad hill. This was re-graded in 2021 and is now mostly gravel and hardpacked dirt with no rocks. After a quarter of a mile, reach a junction and choose between continuing on a mellow, gravel road or a narrower trail which curves around the terrain and is rockier. At 0.6 miles, these trails meet at the bottom of the hill.

Turn left to stay on the cap of South Table Mountain, following a doubletrack along the southern rim. Turn left just before mile 1 at a creek crossing to regain some elevation and enter a small mountain biking park. At 1.1 miles, stay left at the junction with Serpentine Trail to continue on Dome Flow until it rejoins with Old Quarry Trail at just under 1.5 miles.

Flora & Fauna

Watch out for rattlesnakes.
