Description

Inspired by the Historic Tree Nursery of American Forests, this trail provides historic and scientific information about 39 trees. This trail is between Wrights Mill Road and South Gay Street. Town Creek Park can be accessed from this trail via the South Gay Street to Town Creek Park Trail.

Trees: Japanese Maple, Post Oak, Redbud, Osage Orange, Common Persimmon, Southern Red Oak, Water Oak, Red Maple, Green Ash, Black Walnut, Sweetgum, Baldcypress, Bur Oak, Honeylocust, Red Maple, Love Oak, Cottonwood, Longleaf Pine, Eastern White Pine, Southern Magnolia, Apple Tree, Crabapple, Sugar Maple, American Chestnut, American Elm, White Oak, White Ash, Chestnut Oak, Red Oak, White Ash, Gold Raintree, Overcup Oak, Tulip Popular, White Oak, Live Oak, Cherry and Japanese Magnolia.
