Need to Know

This is a spur to connect with other trails. I don't suggest driving up Hurricane Creek Road to get here. It is definitely a high-clearance 4x4 road.

Description

This is an extension of the Haywood-Hurricane USFS Rd 3571 that continues heading northwest. As with most of the "trails" in the area it is simply an old forestry road that is now closed to traffic. It is remote and you won't see anyone out here, or on the way here. Plan accordingly.

I ran this in early Oct and it was still quite runnable. When it stops being runnable and ceases to look like there used to be a road there, that is when it is time to turn around. There is a trail (not sure if it is from humans or animals) that keeps going but it gets increasingly steep and then dies out.
