There are no rest rooms at the trailhead. However there are at Hendricks Park.

The trail is well maintained singletrack gravel. Bikes are allowed on paved roads only in this portion of the Ridgeline Trail System

The trail starts at the intersection of E 30th Ave and Spring Blvd. There is good street parking at the trailhead. The first 1/4 mile drops through young oak forest. There is an abundance of ivy climbing the trees, though it looks as if the Parks department has taken some recent action to eradicate it.

A short access trail from E29th Ave joins at this spot. The last 3/4 mile undulates its way through a mature Douglas Fir forest before it drops out at Floral Hill Dr. There is no convenient parking on Floral Hill Dr. It is a short 1/2 mile to Hendricks park on the Old Fire Break Trail.
