Trail running friendly

Cres Lake (Lac du Cres) is a popular spot right outside of Montpellier. The lake was built on top of an old quarry. In the summer, swimming is allowed and a lifeguard is on duty. All year around, fishing is possible.

The run around the lake is pleasant, several alternative paths are available. The main loop follows the borders of the domain, offering a higher viewpoint onto the lake.

In the South West corner of the park, a large sport area is available with tennis and basketball courts as well as a skatepark.

Some Mediterranean birds can be seen hanging by the lake, depending on the season.
