Description
The Cave Creek Trail departs from the left side of the Nature Center and crosses a short bridge that offers good views of Jackson Cave on the right hand side of the trail. The trail is composed of recycled tires, which provide a smooth, soft surface to talk along. The trail meanders through a small stand of trees where there is a bench and picnic table for you to rest or eat a snack on a warm day.
Crossing
Cedar Run Trail, the trail meanders along a split rail fence before crossing another bridge over Cave Creek. Moving in and out of fields that are good for birding, the trail is relatively level making it great for people of all ages. There are plenty of benches and a couple of picnic tables along the trail for those that need to take breaks. The trail winds back to the nature center, where there are activities for children to participate in.
This short trail is popular throughout the week, so don't expect to be alone on your run.
