Runner Notes

Continually rolling terrain makes this a fun, but challenging, run.

Description

Access Crank 'n Hammer from Fistful of Dollars #6034 (~0.6 miles from Midland TH) on the east, or off of Camp Elevation South (~0.2 miles in) on the west. This trail climbs, dips, and weaves its way along some towering granite rock features and old mining sites. While none of the climbs are long or sustained, they can be a little steep, and seemingly nonstop. As with most BV trails, the views of Mt. Princeton and the Sawatch Range dominate the skyline.

Flora & Fauna

Cactus, deer, lizards, mountain lions.
