This wide concrete path loops around a very different detention basin in Harris County:

As noted by the sign on the trail, "Kevin Shanley was a renowned Principal Landscape Architect/CEO of the SWA Group and designed the landscape at the Greenway. He advocated for a new concept to the Harris County Flood Control District that stormwater detention should be combined with usable greenspace. The beautiful curvilinear shorelines, islands, topography changes, and overlooks are the result of his designs."

The result is a very pleasant and enjoyable experience with some short excursions attached and good connection into the community to the west and north.
