Description
This trail is a wide paved trail on the east end of the
Spring Creek Forest Preserve trail system. It connects to the
Winters-Spring Creek Trail South if you run south on North Garland Ave, and to the Spring Creek Preserve Trail if you cross N. Garland Ave. on the west end of this trail. The Garland event center and a sports complex border the trail to the north. There is a lot of shade, and it's almost flat, so very easy. It's also very clean, due to the Preservation Society for
Spring Creek Forest Preserve. Park at Halff park on the east end of the trail, get a drink at the Arby's on N. Garland Ave. before continuing or turning around.
Flora & Fauna
Lots of birds! The trail doesn't go into the forest much, but you do see wildflowers. The forest has just been added to the Old Growth Forest Network.
