The initial section of the route crosses flat, fertile valleys dotted with acacia trees and small patches of vegetation. The trail is easy to follow, and trekkers may encounter nomadic herders and their livestock along the way.

The trail gradually ascends, transitioning into rocky paths with loose gravel and occasional boulders. This section offers expansive views of the surrounding plateaus and volcanic formations.
