Features Historical Significance

Description

This is the original route of the L.V. Yates trail, but it's an old roadbed that's been complemented with a singletrack trail to the west. You can use this as a quicker, though less interesting way to run into the Preserve from the north. Along the way you'll see the plaque commemorating L.V. Yates, a local conservationist local conservationist who helped in establishing the Phoenix Mountains Preserve.
