Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge
Overview
Hours are 7am-7pm
The park is modest sized and requires a $2 per vehicle entrance fee. A short drive from the main gate will bring you to the main parking lot. Next to the parking lot are bathrooms, a signboard with a map of the park, and a shelter with benches and some wildlife display boards. Because it is a wildlife refuge, there are no dogs allowed. They also frown upon jogging/running in the park. The trails are wide, flat and easy to navigate and are rarely crowded.
