Overview
Southwest Nature Preserve is 58 acres tucked away near Kennedale. Parking and admission are free and leashed pets are allowed. Facilities include interpretive signage, picnic tables, a water fountain, and a restroom at the parking area. Four ponds offer catch-and-release fishing, one with a concrete path and boardwalk leading to a pier. The majority of the trails are flattish sandy tracks through eastern Cross Timbers woodlands and meadows.
