Mt. Skierfe [Suggest Edits]
Description
Take a detour from Aktse and see one of Sweden’s most iconic views. Skierfe is a mountain in the south-eastern parts of Sarek National Park—one of Europe's last great wilderness situated in the most northern part of Sweden. Its western wall is almost vertical and descend to Rapa River and the Laitaure delta. The mountain is 1,179m (3,868 ft) high. From the summit, runners will have stunning views overlooking the delta in Rapadalen.
Overnight Trip:
Skierfe is known for the spectacular viewpoint one can get from the top in good weather. The path to the top is generally an easy run and Skierfe is therefore a popular detour for people running or hiking along the King's Trail. It is a 7.5 km run (one-way) and a climb of about +600 meters from the Aktse mountain hut.
