Grizzly Lake [Suggest Edits]

Description

This is an amazingly deep blue lake perched on a bench with Thompson Peak towering above. The outlet of the lake goes abruptly to a 150+ foot free-falling waterfall followed by 500+ feet of tumbling cascade. Getting to the lake isn't easy but it's absolutely worth it!

Overnight Trip: The lake is either a hard day run or a moderate 2-day (or longer) backpack from the China Springs Trailhead. There are limited campsites below the lake along Grizzly Creek or up at the lake. The climb up from the creek to the lake is a steep, challenging scramble which is more so if you're carrying a pack.
