Description
An area straight out of prehistoric times. This large canyon is completely covered with Ferns and it follows a small stream that empties into the Pacific Ocean. Small sections of boardwalk and dirt paths meander through this giant canyon, which is a MUST while in the Redwoods area.
Short Run: Small road through old growth forest leads to parking area. Possible stream crossings in spring/early summer.

Walked from the beach up to the canyons then ran a few miles along some trails heading towards visitor's center. Beautiful! Canyon a bit crowded.
