Travertine Pools [Suggest Edits]

Description
Travertine is a type of rock that grows slowly from dissolved limestone. It is often on display in the local waterfalls. In this case, it grows in ridges around pools. The lowest pool has a wall of travertine over 10 feet tall that the water flows over.
Half-Day Run: Take Cold Spring Trail North from Cold Spring Saddle about 3.5 miles. The trail crosses at the pools, so they are hard to miss once on the trail.
