Clubhouse Beach [Suggest Edits]
Description
Clubhouse Beach offers the only non-chickee, run-up primitive camping in this portion of the Everglades. The beach itself is secluded, and it is likely that you'll have the white sand beach and clear, shallow water all to yourself. Florida Bay is very shallow and at low tide, the water will reveal interesting mud flats. From the beach you'll also be treated to amazing views of the Florida Bay, which are especially fantastic at sunset. Be sure to bring your camera!
If you are planning to stay at the beach overnight, a permit for backcountry camping is required. Also, be sure to bring plenty of food, water, and bug spray to this remote location as this is one of the lesser traveled sections of the park, and you'll need to be prepared to be self-sufficient while enjoying your time at Clubhouse Beach.
Half-Day Run: Take the Coastal Prairie Trail to access the beach and backcountry campsites. In order to reach the beach, be prepared to wade through a knee deep marsh.
