Mt. Tammany Overlook [Suggest Edits]

Description

Mount Tammany, which is the southernmost peak of the Kittatinny Mountain, is 1,526 ft high and from this vantage point, visitors will certainly enjoy the jaw-dropping views. Getting to the overlook located on the summit of Mt. Tammany does involve a short, strenuous run, but the effort is well rewarded once you reach the summit. Be sure to spend some time to take in the outstanding views of the Delaware River and Mt. Minsi across the river. The views are especially breathtaking in autumn.

Short Run: A short run up the 1.2-mile Red Dot Trail will get you to the overlook. It is recommended that you make a loop run by heading back down the Blue Blaze Trail which is more gradual, less technical, and easier to descend.
