Description
After running to the top of Shortoff Mountain, you'll be greeted with a huge view looking up the depths of the entire Linville Gorge. From the top of Shortoff, you can see the Linville River carving its way through the gorge with the peaks of Hawksbill and Table Rock towering above. On a clear day, the views are breathtaking, and a run in the fall will reward you with outstanding colors in Linville Gorge.
Half-Day Run: The viewpoint is located two miles from the trailhead at Wolfpit Road.
