Mexican Canyon Trestle, La Luz, New Mexico

Description

This is a restored 19th century railroad trestle that was once part of the Cloud-Climbing Railroad from Alamogordo to Cloudcroft.

Short Walk: From the Trestle Recreation Area take the Cloud Climbing Trestle Trail (T5001) down to the overlook. This trestle is also visible from the drive-up viewing area off of Hwy 84 before coming into the village of Cloudcroft.
