Upper Creek Falls/Jonas Hole/Natural Waterslide [Suggest Edits]

Description

Not just a waterfall, but almost a full natural waterpark! There are three separate sections to this gem. The first is the waterfall itself, a spectacular ~80-foot waterfall with two cascades. Just upstream from the upper portion of the falls is the Jonas Hole, a popular swimming area with a rope swing and a large natural waterslide. The pool is deep (>10 feet near the waterslide and rope swing), but chilly (low to mid-60's). Finally, downstream from the waterfall and near the crossing of the lower loop is a much longer (~100 foot) natural waterslide/chute that you can tube or slide down.

With all of this located just a short run from the parking lot, it's a very pleasant way to spend a hot summer afternoon.

Short Run: Less than one mile, using the Upper Loop or the Lower Loop. The Lower Loop crosses the stream just upstream from the longer rockslide, and the Upper Loop crosses just downstream from the Jonas Hole.
