Kane Mountain Fire Tower [Suggest Edits]
Description
A visit to the Kane Mountain Fire Tower will treat runners to one of the better views I have seen from a fire tower. However, you'll NEED to climb the fire tower to see the view, so if you are afraid of heights then it is not a gem! The fire tower is sturdy and the bottom portion of the railing has a metal grid covering it all the way to the top. What makes it so scenic is the 360-degree view (there are no bad viewpoints) with close proximity to three lakes surrounding it and a cabin below.
Short Run: The fire tower can be accessed from either Kane Mountain East Trail or Kane Mountain North Trail.
