Description

Fern Spring is located at the western end of Yosemite Valley. This is a natural spring that the native Americans used to use!

Most visitors will drive straight past this pullout since they are hurry to see El Capitan and etc. It has been restored by the Yosemite Foundation and Ron Kauk, legendary climber from the valley. The water is very good and super cold.

While you are at your own risk to drink the water, I have never gotten sick. I know some climbers that exclusively drink this water! Enjoy.

On the Road: There is pullout parking with a small sign.
