Description
Yaquina Head Lighthouse is one of two lighthouses at the mouth of the Yaquina River. Yaquina Head Lighthouse was built in 1868 in Paris, and was shipped to Oregon; it was lit in 1873. The lighthouse was formally known as the Cape Foulweather Lighthouse.
The lighthouse is 93 feet tall, making it the tallest in Oregon. The lighthouse is in a BLM managed area and tours are offered every day from July through September. Reservations can be made up to 90 days in
advance a reservation phone 1-877-6777 or visit recreation.gov. A small administrative fee will be required to hold each ticket reservation.
