Iguazu Falls [Suggest Edits]
Description
This spectacular multi-tiered waterfall sits on the border between Argentina and Brazil. The falls is composed of a rip in the columnar basalt right at a bend in the river and drops over 250'. The result is that the waterfall creates a complete horseshoe shape.
Upon seeing the falls for the first time Eleanor Roosevelt proclaimed, "Poor Niagra." The National Parks on each side of the border are UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
Short Walk: The falls are best approached from the Argentinian side.
