Cape Royal [Suggest Edits]
Description
Perhaps the North Rims best viewpoint. A 270° overlook at the end of the famously fun-to-drive Cape Royal Road is great for both sunrises and sunsets. The North Rim is also is cooler in temperature and is eroding faster than the South Rim leading to a rough texture to the canyon walls that's more interesting in photos. On top of that only 10% of the people who go to the Grand Canyon with visit the North Rim so it's shockingly easy to avoid crowds. It's worth the longer, albeit gorgeous, drive.
I'm not saying which rim of the canyon is better but I am strongly implying it's this one.
Short Walk: A short run at the end of Cape Royal Rd. Closed Late October through Early May.
