Snakes pepper boulder fields where many of the vistas can be seen.
While the trail traverses many ridges, there are few spots to look out over the land.
Sunlight weaves its way through the thick canopy, catching hints of mist along Lick Run. A short series of switchbacks lead to this gem, where the cold water in summer offers a brief respite from an otherwise absurdly humid trail.
Typical creek crossing along the LHHT using fallen trees cut in half. Slippery when wet.
