The trail climbs up the hill as it makes its way toward Clouds Rest Trail.
Mountain bikers like this trail, and there are portions where their tracks have made it muddy.
This alternate trail leads to sweeping views of the area.
Views of the Bay Area stretch out before you. If you look closely in the field, you can see two coyotes before they get scared off.
Wildflowers can be seen growing in the upper portions of the trail, even in the fall.
A coyote stands in the field in the afternoon just off of the Clouds Rest Alternate Trail. The fields are popular feeding grounds for animals in the evening.
The trail is slightly eroded in this section, but the woods have transformed into smaller bushes at this stage.
