This tree growing on the trail is the only challenging section of the hike. You have to go under it, and then around it.
The first view of the falls is obscured by the trees, but it gives you an idea of what awaits ahead.
Ferns grow alongside this portion of the trail, which you can see is considerably rockier than earlier sections of the trail.
Elowah Falls looks beautiful from the Upper McCord Creek Falls Trail. Great views of the falls and Columbia River Gorge can be found on this section of the trail.
The trail follows the rock face of the cliff as it makes its way toward the falls. This is looking back down the trail.
You almost feel like you are in another world as you walk through the woods.
