Elowah Falls looks beautiful from the Upper McCord Creek Falls Trail. Great views of the falls and Columbia River Gorge can be found on this section of the trail.
The trail switches back as it approaches the falls. The creek flows close to the trail.

The trail switches back as it approaches the falls. The creek flows close to the trail.
This tree growing on the trail is the only challenging section of the hike. You have to go under it, and then around it.
You almost feel like you are in another world as you walk through the woods.
Ferns grow alongside this portion of the trail, which you can see is considerably rockier than earlier sections of the trail.
This is a view of the falls from past the bridge. While partly obscured, it's still a great view.
Looking back at the Columbia River and surrounding area, you truly get a sense of the grandeur of this area. The trail is hewn into the cliffside, so it's not ideal for those afraid of heights.
Elowah Falls looks beautiful from the Upper McCord Creek Falls Trail. Great views of the falls and Columbia River Gorge can be found on this section of the trail.
