Elowah Falls looks beautiful from the Upper McCord Creek Falls Trail. Great views of the falls and Columbia River Gorge can be found on this section of the trail.
The trail switches back on itself as it makes its way up the hillside before getting to the cliff face.
Looking back at the Columbia River and surrounding area, you truly get a sense of the grandeur of this area. The trail is hewn into the cliffside, so it's not ideal for those afraid of heights.
Ferns grow alongside this portion of the trail, which you can see is considerably rockier than earlier sections of the trail.
You almost feel like you are in another world as you walk through the woods.
