The trail is a narrow dirt singletrack that winds its way from Peaceful Valley Ranch to the Jones Creek Trailhead. It passes through where the CCC camp was located in the 1930s. It was the CCC that helped build a lot of the park trails.

The trail moves through the bottomland in the park, giving you some nice views. There is little tree cover, so make sure to wear a hat and sunscreen, and have enough water for your trip.
A marker post designates the Ekblom Trail.
There is one creek crossing that you need to navigate, which could be trickier if water levels are up.
