Even beneath overcast skies, appreciating the sharp contrast between rock and sea demands more time than cars will ever provide.
From just below the high point on old Half Moon Bay-Colma Road, looking towards Gray Whale Cove and Montara.
Sun, Flowers and sweeping views from along the ridge of San Pedro Mountain.
A short stroll south of the trail's southern end stands the remains of a WWII-era bunker. Today it's as much an art show as a historic site.
