Lots of pine cones fall in among the pine trunks along the Nobles Emigrant Trail (West). The trail can be challenging to find in the thinly forested sections, so look carefully for yellow dots on trees ahead and behind.
There is a lot of fire damage in the forest ('17), yet there is still beauty in it, such as all the woody fungus growths on the charred timber.
