Where the water comes into an open area with some sun, you get these neat blooms of wet greenery!
An old road runs briefly along the eastern verge, channeling water toward the sink.
This "sentinel tree" is a landmark along the far southern verge of the trail.
In drier areas of Cedar Glades, yucca is pretty common.
An alluvial spring rises on the west side of the preserve...it flows across the barren, then sinks on the far side.
Here's the sink that redirects all the surface water back underground...which, around here, is where it belongs!
Whatever this is, it's pretty and there's lots of it!
