Beautiful fall day on the Wakazoo Trail
Eastern Hognose Snake aka "puff adder" crossing the trail in the fall. When confronted, the hognose snake will suck in air; spread the skin around its head and neck, hiss, and lunge pretending to strike. Despite the show, hognose snakes almost never bite.
Tree roots are good and bad. Good to grip feet, but they make the trail a bit of a challenge. East side of North Swan Creek Trail.
